Agricultural residues, such as baggasse, rice husk, jute stick and greasses, are fast becoming popular pulping materials for paper making. Considerable attention is being given to the utilisation of various agricultural by products for preparing pulp for paper manufacture laudable efforts are being made in this direction by the Forest Research Institute at Dehra Dun.
