					<description><![CDATA[<p>When you throw out any old cables, there are still a variety of useful materials, such as copper and lead, within them that can be recycled. To get to these metals the old cables go through a process called cable granulation.</p>
<p>Granulated Copper is a course granular solid with a cylindrical shape with slight metallic odour. The length ranges between 0.9 and 6.0 mm with a mean at 2.1 mm and the width ranges between 0.494 and 0.949 mm with a mean at 0.706 mm. Its melting point is 1059-1069°C. It is not required to test for vapour pressure as the melting point is above 300ºC. Solubility in water is pH dependent (acidic conditions). The solubilisation results of the oxido-reduction reaction of the copper metal into ionic copper. Cu(0) → Cu(I) → Cu (II). At low pH, these reactions are promoted. At pH 6.34-7.56 and at 20 °C the solubility is 1 mg/L.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>1. Introduction</p>
<p>Copper Oxychloride 50% WP is a copper based broad spectrum fungicide which controls the fungal as well as bacterial diseases by its contact action. It also effectively controls the fungus resistant to other fungicides. Due to its fine particles, it sticks to the leaves and helps to restrict the growth of the fungus.</p>
<p>Copper based fungicides/bactericides are used extensively in agriculture. It has been observed that various types of copper compounds can be used to effectively treat various plant pathogens, and are available in different types of formulations including wettable powders, emulsifiable concentrates, water-based flowables and dry flowables (also known as water dispersible granules). Dry flowable products are generally dustless, free-flowing, granular products. They are popular among users because the products can be formulated with a higher percentage of active ingredients, are easy to use and have improved shelf life compared to the aqueous fungicides/bactericides. Dry bactericides/ fungicides can be stored for a long period of time, over wide extremes of temperature, without destroying the stability of the formulation.</p>
<p>While copper compounds have been known for their ability to control fungi/bacteria, the copper materials applied must be relatively non-toxic to the plants. Generally, inorganic copper compounds have been used because they have been observed to be non-phytotoxic, whilst most of the organic copper compounds have been found phytotoxic, especially in foliar applications.</p>
<p>With respect to the inorganic copper compounds, water soluble copper compounds are known to be extremely phytotoxic. As a result, water insoluble copper compounds are used as fungicides/bactericides.</p>
<p>Biological activity of the copper-based fungicides/bactericides is measured by the free Cu2+ ions available for consumption by the fungi or bacteria. The biological activity of a fungicide/bactericide increases with an increase in the amount of free Cu2+ ions released. Therefore, the fungicides/bactericides formulated based on water insoluble copper compounds are normally applied in relatively large amounts to effectively control the phytopathogenic fungi.</p>
<p>Dicopper chloride trihydroxide is the chemical compound with the formula Cu2(OH)3Cl. It is often referred to as tribasic copper chloride (TBCC), copper trihydroxyl chloride or copper hydroxychloride. It is a greenish crystalline solid encountered in mineral deposits, metal corrosion products, industrial products, art and archeological objects, and some living systems.</p>
<p>Natural occurrence</p>
<p>Cu2(OH)3Cl occurs as natural minerals in four polymorphic crystal forms: atacamite, paratacamite, clinoatacamite, and botallackite. Atacamite is orthorhombic, paratacamite is rhombohedral, and the other two polymorphs are monoclinic.</p>
<p>Atacamite and paratacamite are common secondary minerals in areas of copper mineralization and frequently form as corrosion products of Cu-bearing metals.</p>
<p>The most common Cu2(OH)3Cl polymorph is atacamite. It is an oxidation product of other copper minerals, especially under arid, saline conditions. Its color varies from blackish to emerald green. It is the sugar-like coating of dark green glistening crystals.</p>
<p>It is intended to prepare a Feasibility Report to install 3000 MT/Year Copper Oxychloride production facilities as a Green Field Project.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>Wire is used to carry the current from one place to another A wire is a single conductor (material most commonly being copper or aluminium) while cable is two or more insulated wires wrapped in one jacket. Multiple conductors that have no insulation around would be classified as a single conductor.</p>
<p>TYPES OF ELECTRICAL WIRES</p>
<p>There are two main types of wires: solid or stranded.</p>
<p>A solid wire is a single conductor that is either bare or insulated by a protective colored sheath. It offers low resistance and is perfect for use in higher frequencies. When inside a covering there are many thin strands of wires twisted together, it is called a stranded wire. Stranded wires are used where flexibility is important because which the wire can be used for a longer period. This type of wire have larger cross-sectional area than solid wires for the same current carrying capacity. Stranding is process of twisting together of small wires to form a single larger conductor. Used to provide flexibility, ease of handling and vibration resistance.</p>
<p>Copper Wire</p>
<p>Copper Wire is a single electrical conductor manufactured out of Copper Ore. This widely used conductor can either be insulated or uninsulated. Having a moderate conductivity, it’s used to transfer electricity with low voltage. Electrical wiring in buildings is the largest market for the copper industry worldwide. As per estimation, around half of the copper mines is consumed in manufacturing electrical wire and cable conductors.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>Copper is an important non-ferrous metal used in various forms for different applications. Copper being a major industrial metal, ranks third after iron and aluminium in terms of quantity consumed. Copper is a reddish malleable and ductile metal valued for its excellent thermal and electrical conducting qualities and resistance to corrosion. Copper combines with a number of elements to form a wide variety of copper minerals and ores.</p>
<p>Copper ingots are generally required by the Non-ferrous casting units which are engaged in the casting of different engineering components of brass, gun metal, bronze etc., the agricultural machinery, automobile industries and railway components. These ingots are also required for manufacturing of rods, tubes, strips, wires etc. The copper ingots manufactured from copper scrap are generally known as commercial quality ingots &#38; do not come under the group of electrolytic copper as these are secondary quality ingots.</p>
<p>Copper is one of the oldest metals ever used and has been one of the important materials in the development of civilization. Copper is an important non-ferrous base metal having wide industrial applications. Today it has become a major industrial metal, ranking 3rd after iron and aluminum in terms of quantities consumed.</p>
<p>Copper today is a 8 billion US dollar industry in India having created 50,000 direct and indirect jobs and growing at a CAGR 5-7% per annum. India has a huge growth potential in copper consumption for the next 20-25 years as the government increases focus on smart cities, rapid urbanization and investments in infrastructure.</p>
<p>Global demand for copper metal (produced from refined copper and recycled scrap) is projected to advance 4.2 percent per year through 2019 to 36.0 million metric tons, valued at $261 billion. Robust gains in building construction expenditures are expected to boost the use of copper wire, tube, and other mill products in applications such as building wire and plumbing. Increased infrastructure investment, particularly in developing countries, will further benefit copper suppliers as updates to national power grids drive the production of wire and cable. In addition, advances in global manufacturing output are expected to bolster the use of copper metal in transportation equipment, industrial machinery, domestic appliances, and other durable goods.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>Wire is used to carry the current from one place to another A wire is a single conductor (material most commonly being copper or aluminium) while cable is two or more insulated wires wrapped in one jacket. Multiple conductors that have no insulation around would be classified as a single conductor.</p>
<p>TYPES OF ELECTRICAL WIRES</p>
<p>There are two main types of wires: solid or stranded.</p>
<p>A solid wire is a single conductor that is either bare or insulated by a protective colored sheath. It offers low resistance and is perfect for use in higher frequencies. When inside a covering there are many thin strands of wires twisted together, it is called a stranded wire. Stranded wires are used where flexibility is important because which the wire can be used for a longer period. This type of wire have larger cross-sectional area than solid wires for the same current carrying capacity. Stranding is process of twisting together of small wires to form a single larger conductor. Used to provide flexibility, ease of handling and vibration resistance.</p>
<p>Copper Wire</p>
<p>Copper Wire is a single electrical conductor manufactured out of Copper Ore. This widely used conductor can either be insulated or uninsulated. Having a moderate conductivity, it’s used to transfer electricity with low voltage. Electrical wiring in buildings is the largest market for the copper industry worldwide. As per estimation, around half of the copper mines is consumed in manufacturing electrical wire and cable conductors.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>Copper sulphate is a well known compound of copper. The commercial name of this compound is Blue Vitriol. Blue stone or chalcantihite. Copper sulphate is used in copper plating, as a mordant in dyeing, as a laboratory reagent, in electric batteries, in production of others salts, as germicide and insecticide in leather industry pulp in pigments in the preservation of wood, pulp and ground pulp in the process of engraving and lithography in ore flotation, destroying large and low roms of animal life from drinking water, in petroleum industry synthetic rubber, steel manufacture etc.</p>
<p>Various forms of copper sulphate are available in the market are present. These forms are classified according to this water if crystallization of copper sulphate anhydrous copper sulphate is blue coloured powder. From commercial point of view copper sulphate has the great importance of all copper chemicals based on tonnage alone.</p>
<p>The manufacturing of copper sulphate is also well known from a very long period. At present this compound is being manufactured from copper metal and sulphuric acid reaction.</p>
<p>Copper sulfate is an algaecide, bactericide, and fungicide. When it is mixed with calcium hydroxide it is known as Bordeaux mixture.1 The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) name for this active ingredient is copper (2+) sulfate or copper (II) sulfate. Other names include copper (2+) tretraoxidosulfate or copper (II) tretraoxidosulfate.</p>
<p>Formulations include basic copper sulfate, copper sulfate monohydrate, copper sulfate pentahydrate and copper sulfate anhydrous. Their Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) registry numbers are 1344-73-6, 1332-14-5, 7758-99-8, and 7758- 98-7, respectively. Pesticides containing copper sulfate monohydrate and/or copper sulfate anhydrous have been cancelled by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA).</p>
<p>Copper sulfate has been used in the United States since the 1700s, and it was first registered for use in the United States in 1956. The U.S. EPA completed the reregistration of copper sulfate in 2009.3 See the text box on Laboratory Testing.</p>
<p>Copper sulfate is an inorganic salt that is highly soluble in water. The copper ion is the component of copper sulfate with toxicological implications.</p>
<p>Copper is an essential mineral, and the recommended dietary allowance of copper for human adults has been set at 900µg/day.</p>
<p>Copper is also a ubiquitous element. It can be found in the environment and in foods and water.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>Copper is an important non-ferrous metal used in various forms for different applications. Copper being a major industrial metal, ranks third after iron and aluminium in terms of quantity consumed. Copper is a reddish malleable and ductile metal valued for its excellent thermal and electrical conducting qualities and resistance to corrosion. Copper combines with a number of elements to form a wide variety of copper minerals and ores.</p>
<p>Copper is one of the oldest metals ever used and has been one of the important materials in the development of civilization. Copper is an important non-ferrous base metal having wide industrial applications. Today it has become a major industrial metal, ranking 3rd after iron and aluminum in terms of quantities consumed.</p>
<p>Copper ingots are generally required by the Non-ferrous casting units which are engaged in the casting of different engineering components of brass, gun metal, bronze etc., the agricultural machinery, automobile industries and railway components. These ingots are also required for manufacturing of rods, tubes, strips, wires etc. The copper ingots manufactured from copper scrap are generally known as commercial quality ingots &#38; do not come under the group of electrolytic copper as these are secondary quality ingots.<br />
Copper today is a 8 billion US dollar industry in India having created 50,000 direct and indirect jobs and growing at a CAGR 5-7% per annum. India has a huge growth potential in copper consumption for the next 20-25 years as the government increases focus on smart cities, rapid urbanization and investments in infrastructure lobal demand for copper metal (produced from refined copper and recycled scrap) is projected to advance 4.2 percent per year through 2019 to 36.0 million metric tons, valued at $261 billion. Robust gains in building construction expenditures are expected to boost the use of copper wire, tube, and other mill products in applications such as building wire and plumbing. Increased infrastructure investment, particularly in developing countries, will further benefit copper suppliers as updates to national power grids drive the production of wire and cable. In addition, advances in global manufacturing output are expected to bolster the use of copper metal in transportation equipment, industrial machinery, domestic appliances, and other durable goods.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>Copper was a scarce metal with respect to India but recent setting up of copper smelters has entirely changed the scenario of copper production/availability in the country. However, these copper smelters, except that of HCL, are producing copper based on the imported concentrates. In the recent past the country’s status has changed from a net importer to a net exporter</p>
<p>Over the years the use of copper has witnessed growth in electrical, transport, Consumer durables, engineering, construction, telecommunication etc. sectors. In the present survey the demand has been projected up to 2024-25 in the above sectors keeping in view the economic growth in future. The domestic demand works out to be 2.3 million tones. To meet the demand in future the copper industry has already geared up. The supply projection of 2.8 million tons by 2024-25will satisfy the domestic demand in addition to exports demand.</p>
