Mild Steel ingots are used for mechanical engineering works viz; manufacturing machines and their parts. This is done by further reduction of ingots to billets, blooms, bars & rods etc. by hot rolling process or by reducing to slab, plate & sheets/strips by hot rolling technique. These are the commercial forms of steel s mill products which are directly used in engineering industries. A variety of additional operations like cold rolling, machining, heat treatments & fabrication are carried on the final mill products inorder to make them suitable far use. However, ingot is the first form of steel for producing other shape, by rolling, forging or extrusion processes. Steel wire steel wool and fails is yet another group of steel form for use in various industries.

Steel re-rolling in narrow widths of strips is becoming increasingly popular. This is become of the fact that (i) these industries can be started in india with reasonably small investments (even less then one crore rupees) (ii) straps of re-reliable quality are available in abundance and at cheep prices and (iii) finally of greatest importance that such hot rolled steel strips of narrow width find a very wide & suitable applications in hundreds of ways. Re-rolled strips are the main raw materials for most of the cold rolling mills in India. The Strips supplied in coils from Re-rolling units are loosened s recalled with one layer not tightly in contact with the adjacent layers. Such loose coils are pickled as required inorder to removes thick s thin scale & other inclusions in the surface insides imparting clear, clean & smooth surface finish etc. suitable for cold rolling and under plain set of rolls are reduced to the required section thicknesses according to the needs of various subsequent users.

The induction furnace based on mini steel plant is a versatile Installations where provisions are available for producing a Range of steel products by alloying and casting into various Shape. The products of steel plants are in the form of ingots, Billets, sheets etc. These induction furnace based steel casting Units are suitable for small scale industries and medium scale Industries and yet have the capability to complete in the Internal as well as international market at all counts. Billets Are the basic products of steel from which different types of Steel products are made such as sheets, angles, channels, rods, Etc. Mild steel billets are the basic raw material for Manufacturing various types of re-rolled products. Mild steel Billets are used for mechanical engineering works such as Manufacturing machines and their parts. Steel billets are used For production of plate, sheets, strips, rod etc. By hot rolling And cold rolling process. It is the commercial forms of steels Mill products which are directly used in the engineering Industries. A variety additional operations like cold rolling, Machining, heat treatments and fabrications are carried out on Final mill products in order to make them suitable for use. However, is the steel billets is the first form of steel for Producing other shapes by rolling, forging or extrusion process.
