SUPER-CRITICAL FLUID EXTRACTION (SCFE) CO2 TECHNOLOGY FOR SPICES OLEORESINS

Description:

SCFE CO2 extraction process for spices oleoresin is the latest energy efficient process in the world. Probably, no plant is working in India based on this technology. The extraction of essential oils, organoleptic compounds, i.e., the compounds responsible for aroma, flavour, and taste from both liquids and solid plant materials is possiblt using supercritical carbon dioxide. Materials that can be used are any plant materials which contain aromatic substances such as: herbs, spices, flowers, crop seeds (e.g. hops, coffee), pharmaceutically active compounds.
