Cement processing unit have got tremendous demand in India. India is a huge country. Portland cement is the main ingredient of concrete. Concrete is formed when cement creates a paste with water that binds with sand and rock to harden. Portland Cement Plant is quite a profitable unit for setting up the plant.

Portland Cement is manufactured through a controlled chemical combination of calcium, aluminum, silicone, iron and other raw materials.

Main materials used to produce portland cement includes shells, limestone, and chalk combined with shale, clay, slate, blast furnace slag, silica sand and iron ore. These raw materials, when heated at high temperatures form a rock-like substance that is ground into the fine powder that we think of as cement.

Portland Cement plant laboratories check each step in the manufacture of cement by frequent chemical and physical test. The laboratory also analyze and test the finished product to make sure that it complies with all industry specifications.

The common way to produce cement (portland) is through a dry method. The step is to quarry the main raw materials, mainly clay, limestone and other raw-materials. After quarrying the rock is crushed. This involves many stages. The first crushing reduces the rock to a maximum size of appox 6 inches. The rock is then goes to secondary crushers or hammer mills for reduction to about 3 inches or may be of smaller.

EIRI, have prepared the Detailed Techno Economic Feasibility Report of Cement Processing Unit. The capacity of the plant may be increased or decreased as per the client needs.
