COMPARISON BETWEEN FLYASH AND CELLULAR LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE (CLC) BRICKS

CLC stand for Cellular Light weight Concrete, these blocks have same composition as a solid blocks with an addition of Foam in it, So these blocks are almost 35-40% lighter than the Solid Concrete Blocks and Clay bricks, The big size and good finish of the blocks also reduce the quantity of both the packing mortar and plastering mortar, so, it is much recommended to some extent in the construction industry.

Fly-ash brick manufacturing is having a great demand and this product is in good growing in demand. The raw materials i.e fly ash are fluently available at through away cost from the NTPC stations. Talking of thermal power companies, there’s a general notion that fly-ash generated at power plants should be supplied to brick manufacturers at subsidized rates (almost at no cost). And apart from setting up structured fly-ash disposal mechanisms, power producers should rather set up captive fly-ash brick making plants. Plant and Equipments to produce flyash bricks are manufactured in India easily, So, There is no need to import the plant from the overseas countries.
