Di-Calcium Phosphate (Animal Feed Grade) is added in animals feed to cure infertility caused due to mineral deficiency, to reduce the inter-calving period, to improve resistance against diseases like mastitis, to enhance fiber digestion & prevent ruminal disorders, to maintain calcium in the body & to increase the milk production. Di-calcium phosphate exists in anhydrous as well as dehydrate form,  the latter being the form marketed as a  fertilizer.  When pure, dehydrate form contains 41.26% P2O5(18.33%P) and is largely citrate-soluble. Dehydrate was more soluble than anhydrous. The global phosphate market was valued at 68.38 Billion in 2015-16 and is projected to reach 78.37 Billion by 2021-22, at a CAGR of 2% from 2016-17 to 2021-22. It was  more soluble in ammonium sulphate solution than  in  others. The Naubauer test with barely using 32P showed that the uptake of fertilizer phosphorous was more from the dehydrate form. The calcium phosphate market is expected to take a leap forward, over the next nine years, owing to the increasing demand for nutritional, milk/dairy and bakery products. The growing level of education and disposable incomes is giving rise to the demand for more healthy and nutritious food products across the world. Furthermore, increasing demand for superior quality food items and nutritional eatables owing growing consumer awareness towards health is expected to have a positive impact on the market growth over the next eight years. The product has broad application scope in the beverage industry for manufacturing soft drinks. Rising demand for calcium phosphate to improve the nutritional value of food products such as processed cheese, seafood, and bakery products is expected demand over the projected period.
