GLASS CLEANER (COLIN TYPE)

          Wind screen is a combination of strengthend glass and  inter layer   offer  advantages  of  lessened  weight,  higher   impact resistance lowered laceration potential and resistance to bending stresses.  These  wind screen/wind shield may be needed  in  high speed  aircraft,  helicopters and motro vehicle.  The  additional strenghtening  is achieved by chemical or thermal processes.  The chemical process utilizer a special glass of high alumina content which  after  bending to shape is processed by ion  exchange,  in molten  potassium salt to produce a higher compressed skin and  a center tension with a bending stress up to 276 MPa (40,000  psi). The  product  offering reduced laceration potential  was  briefly used by car producer.
