A pressure regulator is capable of reducing the emergent LPG
from  cylinder pressure to 250 – 500 mm water column  (gauge).  A
pressure sensitive diaphragm, attached to which there is a lever,
which in turn, opens and closes a small inlet value.

The  diaphragm  is supported by a spring,  the  pressure  of
which  can  be  adjusted. Thus, the value is  made  to  close  at
different  down  stream  pressures,  but once  set  for  a  given
delivery  pressure,  the regulator will  maintain  this  constant
pressure.
