Stainless Steel is a high grade steel to which has been alloyed such elements as Manganesse (MN) silicon (Si) Phosphorus (P) chromium (Cr) Nickel (Ni) and Molybednum (Mo). Of these elements chromium and nickel are in the largest quantities.
According to the particular type of steel, it will combain 10 to 30% of chromium and 10-25% of nickel. There are over 40 types of stainless steels available. These are generally classed by the number. This is classified according to the heat treatment properties of the steel and its alloys. The common type of the sheet stainless steel used in the work shop is type 302. This type of steel used for almost all sorts of containers, sinks and counters in th restaurant.
