       Paper tubes should be of uniform weight, size and strength  as it would make it possible to deternmine the weight of the  thread often winding.

The basic  material used for paper tubes and composite cans is a board/paper .  The body of usually is paper board and the  ends usually  are of metal, paperboard or plastics.  The  construction of the body may be one of three general type:-

spiral wound tubes and cans, convolutely wound tubes and cans  or laminated or lab seam cans.

Spiral  wound  bodies  are made on  a  spiral  winder,  which  consists of a stationery cylindrical mandrel.  An end less  belt  is  looked  over  one end of the mandrel  and  a  fraveling  saw  defines  the other end the raw stock is slit into  narrow  rools  which are fed into the winder from either side.  Each web passes  overs a glue roll, around the mandrel and under endless belt  at  25-85 .
